I Really Couldn't Believe My Eyes

So today I bombarded Facebook with tons of pictures of snow. In Arizona. In the Phoenix area. This does not happen, ever. So of course, I took tons of pictures as I stood outside in complete and utter shock that I was seeing snow falling from the sky. I'm from Chicago so seeing snow is not new..seeing snow in Arizona, very new! Plus my kids can say they say snow fall where they live(even if they don't remember it).

I'm currently training for my new work at home position with GE. I have three weeks of on site training with one day a week being at home work. Today was that day! Couldn't have worked out any better! No crazy traffic with drivers who have a hard time in traffic without inclement weather! Yes!

Work...my first time away from my kids since they were born. First day was good until about lunch..then it hit me that I wouldn't see them for another 5 hours and I got sad. Next day was a little harder. It was sad leaving in the morning after only seeing them for about an hour or so before bed the night before. Luckily it is only for three weeks. But I feel good! I feel good that I am doing something to help contribute to my family. Plus Origami Owl! Don't forget to check that out! The stuff is really, really cute and I'm not just saying that! 2. LOL! I haven't seen snow in years! I lived in the upper peninsula of Michigan for a few years... that was enough snow for me! When they say lake effect snow, they neglect to mention they mean up to 12 feet! I'm from Oklahoma and Florida! That was just TOO much for me! I found you on the Thursday blog hop and started following you. Check me out if you have a spare moment www.feelingtheemptynest.blogspot.com

    1. I know all too much about the craziness of the lake effect snow! I grew up in the Chicago suburbs! I will happily stick to warmer weather that does not include shovels for snow! Or my least favorite tool---an ice scraper! Thanks for following!

  3. Wow! It's always crazy getting snow in a place that's not used to snow. When I was growing up, it snowed a foot the night of Christmas Eve. I'm from South Texas. EVERYONE had snowmen in their yards the next morning. And seeing the pictures of the makeshift sleds was awesome. Thankfully growing up in a farming community almost everyone had four wheel drive pick up trucks too so there weren't too many problems on the roads.

Found you on Mingle with Us, and I'm your newest follower.

Hope you're having a great week!
